Are You Ready To Volunteer?

Rural Montana is struggling to provide enough volunteer firefighters/EMS personnel. With full-time fire departments only being present in more-populated areas, these communities rely on local volunteer departments to be the first responders. If volunteers continue to become scarce, who will answer the call when disaster strikes?

Who Are We?

The Montana Fire Hire program exists to increase awareness of the ongoing need for a crucial resource in our rural Montana communities – the number of capable and competent volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel. Through scholarships, promotions, direct recruitment, social media, and other marketing platforms, Montana Fire Hire is dedicated and passionate about spreading awareness and making a difference in local volunteer fire and EMS departments.

I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we who know the work which the fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling. Our Proudest Moment Is To Save Lives. Under The Impulse Of Such Thoughts, The Nobility Of The Occupation Thrills Us And Stimulates Us To Deeds Of Daring, Even Of Supreme Sacrifice.
